Australian Institute of Sport Tour

Go behind the scenes and explore the campus grounds and facilities of Australia’s premier sports precinct – The Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. This 90 minute guided tour gives you the opportunity to catch some of Australia’s top athletes train and study.

The interactive tour takes you inside the 65 hectares of campus grounds to see the AIS Arena, gymnastics centre, volleyball hall, strength and conditioning gym and the testing and training pools used by the Australia's best athletes.

The tour also covers the world class Sportex centre where visitors can have a go at wheelchair basketball, virtual downhill skiing, rock climbing and football penalty shootouts. The centre also has a unique collection of Australian sporting memorabilia on display.

Parliament House Guided Tour

Every wanted to sneak a peak behind the parliamentary curtain? Well this is your chance. Learn all about Australia's Parliamentary history and present day events. These tours vary day to day because there is always something new happening. Expect the unexpected, at our nations capital.

The Australian War Memorial

The Australian War Memorial combines a shrine, a world-class museum, and an extensive archive. The Memorial's purpose is to commemorate the sacrifice of those Australians who have died in war. Its mission is to assist Australians to remember, interpret and understand the Australian experience of war and its enduring impact on Australian society.

National Zoo and Aquarium

Get up close and personal with some of the world's most amazing creatures at the National Zoo & Aquarium in Canberra.  With a wide variety of both native and exotic animals, as well as the largest inland saltwater tank in Australia, there is something for everyone. The National Zoo and Aquarium is a privately owned 19-hectare zoo and aquarium in the Australian capital city of Canberra. From lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) to giraffes and penguins and monkeys, the Zoo features a variety of native and exotic animals, as well as the largest inland saltwater tank in Australia. You can even pat a cheetah, feed a bear or become acquainted with a meerkat during some of the most amazing hands-on animal experiences in Australia.

Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve

See koalas, kangaroos, possums, reptiles and more in the natural setting of Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, just 40 minutes drive from the Canberra Central Business District. Keep an eye open for wandering wallabies and emus, and you may even catch a glimpse of an elusive platypus.

Snowy Mountains - Cafe Borellas

Conveniently situated in downtown Yass, Cafe Dolcetto sits snugly within the rooms of a renovated heritage building, one of many that line the main drag. It’s cosy inside and a good escape from the Yass Valley chill. The scones are impressive; warm, light and fluffy, with a smidgen of icing sugar sprinkled on top. There’s ample jam and cream, and although the cream is freshly whipped, as opposed to being from a can, it’s quite light. Don’t leave it too late as it’s a popular spot even late in the day.

Canberra Hot Air Balloon Flight at Sunrise (optional)

A once in a lifetime experience, you'll discover the unsung beauty of Australia’s capital city as you float overhead in a hot air balloon. Take to the skies for an early-morning hot air balloon flight and admire the full effect of Walter Burley Griffin’s urban landscape as you watch the sunrise over the parks, lakes and government buildings of Canberra. After your 45min -1-hour flight, celebrate your safe landing with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a personalised flight certificate.
