SHINJU MATSURI Festival of the Pearl

Shinju Matsuri is a much loved Broome festival, which encapsulates everything that is Broome and the surrounding areas of the Kimberley region.  Featuring an incredible kaleidoscope of events, Shinju Matsuri pays tribute to Broome's  heritage and culture as well as showcasing a multitude of phenomenal talent.  Experience the opening parade, art exhibitions, shows and  the Dragon Boat Regatta, Make yourselves at home and be part of this year’s dazzling Shinju Matsuri Festival!


Staircase to the Moon and Beach Markets

The Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon caused by the rising of a full moon reflecting off the exposed mudflats in Roebuck Bay at extremely low tide, to create a beautiful optical illusion of a stairway reaching to the moon. Browse stalls showcasing handmade products, jewellery, clothing and art. Tempt your palate with a delicious selection of food and beverages before sitting back to soak up the tunes of Broome musicians


Broome's Astronomy Experience

Meet some of the stars and trace out some constellations. Explore the relationships within the solar system and point telescopes at whatever planets are above the horizon. A fun night under some of the best skies on the planet! Broome's Astronomy Experience is 2-hour educational and entertaining mind bender using big telescopes, lasers and fun under some of the best stargazing skies on the planet. 


Sunset Long Table

Infinity star dining! Some restaurants have Michelin stars but we have millions of the real things you can feast under! Gather your favourite people and treat your tastebuds to a phenomenal dinner set on the famous Cable Beach complete with a breathtaking sunset.
